UPSW Advice and Representation

We provide legal advice and representation in Upholding Professional Standards in Wales (UPSW) investigations and hearings. We understand the contractual and policy considerations, as well as the fair process that should be followed. We can assist with the gathering of evidence and the drafting of submissions.

Questions of capability, performance, and conduct of doctors are examined by the UPSW process, and the process can be complex and stressful for doctors. We can assist doctors to navigate the UPSW process, and guide them on the evidence that will be needed to support their position. We can attend UPSW interviews with doctors, and also attend and represent doctors at UPSW hearings.
