MPTS Hearings – What to Expect
MPTS Hearings
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) is an independent tribunal that assesses the fitness to practise of doctors who are registered with the GMC or who wish to become registered with the GMC. MPTS hearings consider issues relating to misconduct, ill-health, deficient performance, registration.
Our Doctors Defence Service website provides guidance to doctors who are facing MPTS hearing processes. See our various webpages for a summary of procedures, case law, statutory law and what to expect in MPTS hearings.
